PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manufacturing yield and to relax the tolerance of manufacturing deviation by simplifying a circuit constitution. SOLUTION: The end surface forming position where the input/output end surface part 311 of one slab waveguide 310 relatively faces the input/output end surface part 321 of the other slab waveguide 320, that is, the end surface forming positions facing between output waveguides 305 and 306 connected to each slab waveguide, or the end surface forming positions facing between input waveguides 303 and 304 connected to each slab waveguide are formed by being shifted not to mutually overlapped by utilizing the relation that oposite light rays do not interfere with each other and the relation that the central wavelength of an AWG depends on the input/output waveguide position.
