PURPOSE: Provided are a tripod shaped oxazoline compound represented by the formula(1) and its manufacturing method. The compound can be used as a recognition material to linear alkyl ammonium and beta-phenethyl ammonium. Therefore, a chemical sensor using the compound is capable of analyzing alkyl ammonium and beta-phenethyl ammonium quantitatively and qualitatively, and is thus widely used for clinical experiments and chemical analysis. CONSTITUTION: The tripod shaped oxazoline compound is represented by the formula(1), wherein R1 is a methyl group or an ethyl group; R2 id phenyl or benzyl; R3 is hydrogen or phenyl. It is preferably selected form the group consisting of a compound(R1 is a methyl group, R2 is phenyl and R3 is hydrogen), a compound(R1 is benzyl, R2 is hydrogen), a compound(R1 is a methyl group, R2 and R3 are phenyl), a compound(R1 is an ethyl group, R2 is phenyl and R3 is hydrogen) and a compound(R1 is an ethyl group, R2 and R3 are phenyl).
