PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus which can precisely detect the joint part of a seam belt photoreceptor without a detection hole nor reflection mark and position an image formation area. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic apparatus has at least the seam belt photoreceptor and two or more photoreceptor grounding means and the photoreceptor is formed in an endless belt shape by joining both the ends of a conductive sheet type base provided with a photosensitive layer, has at least one image area over one round of the belt, is provided with a conductive layer for grounding at a belt end part of the image formation surface over one round of the belt, and is further provided with an insulation part 24 partially on the conductive layer, and the insulation part on the conductive layer is detected from variation of a ground current to perform positioning control over the image formation area. |
