PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination method and an examination kit for easily and rapidly diagnosing an inflammatory bowel disease. SOLUTION: This examination method for the inflammatory bowel disease and an examination kit used for the method are characterized by detecting the presence of an antibody which recognizes Bacteroides ovatus in blood, using Bacteroides ovatus.
