The invention relates to a boom arrangement in connection with a rock drilling apparatus, the arrangement comprising at least one working boom (1) and at least one auxiliary boom (3, 4). A rock drilling apparatus or another device (2) is arranged at the free end of the working boom and, correspondingly, the free end of the auxiliary boom is provided with an auxiliary device (5, 6), such as a man cage. Said booms comprise at least two boom parts (1a, 1b; 3a, 3b; 4a, 4b) pivotally connected relative to each other. According to the idea of the invention, the booms (1, 3, 4) are connected to the base of the rock drilling appartus by means of a common boom mounting frame (11). Such a mounting frame is arranged at the front of a user's work platform (10). The auxiliary boom is mounted on the upper surface of the mounting frame and the working boom on a side surface of the mounting frame. The solution of the invention is further characterized in that the auxiliary boom is drivable with respect to its pivoted mounting such that the auxiliary device can be turned close to the work platform. |
