PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus having high durability. SOLUTION: In the apparatus, an electrophotographic photoreceptor is of a cylindrical shape with an outside diameter of 40 mm or less, the film thickness of a charge transfer layer is 30 μm or more, and the transfer electrostatic charge means of the electrophotographic photoreceptor employs a contact electrostatic charge system in which an electrostatic charge roll abuts on the photoreceptor with a line pressure of 5 to 20 g/cm. A voltage in which an AC voltage is superposed on a DC voltage is applied to the electrostatic charge means, and furthermore, the hardness of the transfer roll is 25 to 40 deg. (AskerC), and the rotational speed of the electrophotographic photoreceptor is 50 rpm or more. |
