<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of defective images occurring in the defective photoelectric conversion element of a line sensor in the radiation line image obtained with a radiation image information reader which reads radiation image information by the line sensor. SOLUTION: When the defective photoelectric conversion element 23 exists in the line sensor 20 of the radiation image information reader which obtains the signal value of one pixel in the radiation image form the many photoelectric conversion elements in the longitudinal direction of the line sensor, the average value of the signal values of the photoelectric conversion elements 21A and 21B adjacent to the defective photoelectric conversion element 23 is determined and is used as the signal value of the defective photoelectric conversion element 23.</p> |
