INTEGRATED ACCESS DEVICE FOR PROCESSING VOICE AND HIGH SPEED DATA IN ATM NETWORK

PURPOSE: An integrated access device for processing voice and high speed data in an ATM network is provided to integrally provide a service of a DSL group such as a VDSL and an SDSL(Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line) as well as an ADSL and integrally provide voice and data through the IAD without being separated. CONSTITUTION: An USB(Universal Serial Bus) interfacing unit(31) provides connection for a blue tooth unit and provides connection with a digital application unit. An x-type digital subscriber line interfacing unit(32) provides a connection with a voice and high speed data subscriber of a DSL group such as a VDSL or an SDSL besides the ADSL. A 10/100 base T ethernet interfacing unit(33) provides an ethernet interfacing to small office home office users and office users. An ATM25 interfacing unit(34) provides interfacing with a UTOPIA level I and II bus of a broadband access modem by using an ATM25 physical layer channel. The UTOPIA level I and II interfacing unit(35) is connected to the ATM25 interfacing unit(34) so as to interface with the broadband access modem. A UART(Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter) interfacing unit(40) interfaces with the broadband access modem by using a line driver/receiver and transmits and receives monitoring information. An ICE(In-Circuit Emulation) interfacing unit(41) provides a boundary scan function of the broadband access modem. A GPIO(General purpose Input/Output) interfacing unit(42) performs debugging of a boot and software processing. An SDRAM(38) temporarily stores data to process data transmitted when the matching unit and the broadband access modem transmits and receive the data. Basic information including a pre-set value of the IAD and initial information and a driving program to control driving the IAD are selectively stored in the EEPROM(39) or in a flash memory(36).
