<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin-based spherical toner and a method for manufacturing the toner, having not too wide a distribution of the grain size for a toner, having superior low-temperature fixing property and causing no problems at all, related to offset resistance for practical use. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic spherical toner contains a polyester resin (A), having carbonate bonds in the molecule and a coloring agent (X) as the essential components. In the method for manufacturing the electrophotographic spherical toner, a molten body of colored resin (I), containing the polyester resin (A) and the coloring agent (X) as the essential components is dispersed in a water-based medium (II), while the molten state of the molten body of colored resin (I) is maintained, and then cooled and dried.</p> |
