PURPOSE: To make a trouble such as damage generated hardly even when inserted and removed inclinedly with respect to a receptacle. CONSTITUTION: An engaging part 2 is projectedly provided in a front face of a plug main body 1. A width size in the vicinity of an opening end of an engaging recess 5 is made larger than the width an engaging recess 5 inside, by inclining side walls 2c, 2c opposed in a width direction of the engaging recess 5 toward respective outsides thereof in the vicinity of the opening end. When a plug P is tilted inclinedly in insertion and the removal of the plug P to/from the receptacle R, the side walls 2c, 2c of the engaging part 2 in the vicinity of the opening end of the engaging recess 5 are precluded thereby from being interfered with a projected part 22, and the trouble such as the damage in the engaging part 2 is hardly generated thereby.
