The working method is track-bound, e.g. a working wagon on the track lifts rails and sleepers off the track bed, the ballast is removed, and stored temporarily on a container behind the wagon, and a binding agent is worked into the protective track bed layer by a cutting/mixing rotor, which works under the raised track.
