ISOLATION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF GROWTH HORMONE RELEASING HORMONE RECEPTOR

PURPOSE: An isolated and purified growth hormone releasing hormone receptor is provided to be useful for the research and commercial exploitation of drugs interacting with growth hormone releasing hormone receptor. CONSTITUTION: The isolated and purified growth hormone releasing hormone receptor is produced by the method comprising the steps of immobilizing, on a support of affinity chromatography, a complexed growth hormone releasing hormone receptor which is revealed to have a molecular weight of about 55 kDa by SDS-PAGE under a reducing condition and dissociating the complex from the support to obtain the isolated and purified growth hormone releasing hormone receptor.
