PURPOSE: A real-time electronic commerce method and system using a checking unit is provided to add necessary functions for PC communication, goods ordering and PC banking into a card checking unit so that the card checking unit can carry out real-time electronic commerce. CONSTITUTION: In an electronic commerce processing part(804), a checking unit owner(806) drives the goods order program(812) of a checking unit(600) using a keyboard(602), accesses the B2B server(402) of an electronic commerce company(814), searches for displayed goods, selects desired goods, and places a goods purchase order. Then the checking unit owner(806) calls a banking transfer program for contract fulfillment with the electronic commerce company(814), accesses a bank's computer server(226) through a communication network(400), executes the code input of a security card(310), and transfers the order amount from his account to the electronic commerce company's account. At this moment, in case that the checking unit owner(806) is not sure for the balance of his account, he can call a banking inquiry program(808) in order to previously confirm the balance through the bank computer server(226).
