PURPOSE: To provide a light scattering film which suppresses backscattering and has an excellent utilization factor of light, an electrode substrate for a reflective liquid crystal display device utilizing the light scattering film and the reflective liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: The light scattering film is provided with a transparent resin with a first refractive index and plural transparent particles with a second refractive index dispersed in the transparent resin. The light scattering film is characterized by having the ratio of one out of the first and second refractive indexes to the other being more than 1 to 1.08, by having the surfaces of practically all of the plural transparent particles to be smooth and by having the smooth surfaces comprising projecting faces or a combination of the projecting faces and planes. The electrode substrate for the reflective liquid crystal display device and the reflective liquid crystal display device are provided with the light scattering film.
