摘要 PURPOSE: An engine block having cooling structure is provided to cool the upper part of a cylinder liner by forming a fluid passage between bores, and to improve the performance of the engine by keeping the temperature in the upper part of the cylinder block. CONSTITUTION: An engine block comprises a cylinder block(10) made of aluminum with forming the body of an engine; plural cylinder bores(11,11') installed in the cylinder block; cylinder liners(12,12') mounted in cylinder bores; and a cooling fluid passage(13) formed in the cylinder block in the upper parts of the cylinder bores by reducing the area of the cylinder liner partially. The cooling fluid passage is formed with drilling to pass cooling fluid around cylinder liners, and the cylinder block and cylinder liners are formed with die-casting. The distance between bores is reduced with forming inlet parts(12a.12b) in the cylinder liners, and expenses are reduced with simple process. The output of the engine is improved with keeping constant temperature in the upper part of the cylinder block by forming the cooling fluid passage.
