PURPOSE: A recording medium, an editing method and an editing apparatus are provided to edit management data to perform the editing, in a command for editing, such as dividing, linking, and erasing the predetermined programs or groups. CONSTITUTION: A recording medium collects a plurality of programs in a plurality of groups and supervises the plurality of programs in this grouped state. In the recording medium, a program recording area records the programs therein. A first management data recording area records first management data therein, to manage program names of the plurality of programs. A second management data recording area records second management data therein, in accordance with separation information to associate names of the programs collected in the plurality of groups with the names of the groups and separate the program names and the group names, wherein the second management data has a plurality of group information comprising the group names and separation information and each group information is classified by classification information.
