PURPOSE: A steel box girder reinforced by a PS steel wire is provided to broaden the selective scope of a steel bridge and to improve in appearance. CONSTITUTION: The steel box girder having at least one or more diaphragms comprises the steps of placing anchorages(4,4') on the upper end of webs(3,3') of both ends, fitting the anchorages(4,4') by passing a PS steel wire(6) from the anchorage(4) to the other anchorage(4') through the lower end of an intermediate diaphragm(D1), then tensioning and adding prestress.
