PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction of a dynamic pressure type fluid bearing device and a method for manufacturing thereof in which a manufacturing cost can be reduced and leakage of lubricating oil can be prevented. SOLUTION: The dynamic pressure type fluid bearing device comprising a shaft 1, a sleeve 3 which forms a radial bearing part between the shaft 1 and is installed rotatably on the shaft 1, and a pair of seal members 2, 4 which are fixed on the shaft 1, forms a thrust bearing part between the sleeve 1, and seals lubricating oil which circulates in the bearing, is characterized in that a first seal member 2 which is one of a pair of the seal members is formed integrally with the shaft 1 and a second seal member 4 of the other is press fitted of the shaft 1.
