PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer film capable of forming a full color image of excellent quality without decreasing a color reproducing area of a printed product. SOLUTION: The thermal transfer film comprises a film base having a heat resistant layer provided on one surface of a film base, and a heat transferable dye layer provided on the other surface of the base so that the dye layer has a plurality of dye layer areas containing dyes of different hues and the dye layer areas respectively contain yellow, magenta and cyan dyes. In this case, when the different dye layer areas are compared by using the thermal transfer film comprising the yellow, magenta and cyan dyes so that, when a high density area density difference of the yellow with the other two colors is 0.1 or more, an image is sequentially printed in order of the hues in which a neutral black regulated in a gray balance becomes a high density. Thus, even when a back trap of the dye by printing occurs, the full color image of excellent quality can be formed without reducing a color reproducing area of the printed product. |
