PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the processing time, in which a commercial product is discriminated by finding the dimensions or the like of the commercial product, on the basis of an image in a metering, packaging and pricing apparatus which discriminates the commercial product, on the basis of the image of the commercial product placed on a metering base 21. SOLUTION: The processor is provided with the metering base 21, a CCD camera 82, a controller and a level 29. The commercial product is placed on the metering base 21. The CCD camera 82 photographs the image of the commercial product, placed on the metering base 21. The controller discriminates the commercial product, on the basis of the image by the CCD camera 82. The level 29 detects the horizontal state of the commercial product. The level 29 is arranged, at a position in which the imaging path C2 of the CCD camera 82 is blocked by the commercial product placed on the metering base 21.
