POLYUREA, ITS PRODUCTION METHOD AND ITS APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discover a new polyurea which holds stability in a solid state at a standard curing temperature of 150-220 deg.C in a powder coating without remarkably producing organic materials or water contents (<=2%). SOLUTION: On the basis of an isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI) and/or a hexamethylene diisocyanate(HDI) and/or its isocyanurate and an amine, the ratio of NCO/NH2 is 0.9-1.1:1, it is the polyurea whose average molecular weight is at least 5,000.
