PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ceramics which has mechanical strength practically questionless as sanitary ware, is manufactured by reducing a load imposed on the work to calculate the dimension/shape of the green body by considering the volume to be shrunk when sintered and the volume to be deformed owing to the shrinkage, the so-called dividing/multiplying work, and has excellent dimensional precision as a ware article even by dispensing with correction work such as grinding work when manufactured. SOLUTION: This sanitary ware consists of the ware green body and a graze layer formed on the necessary part of the green body. The packing ratio of the green body is made to be 68 volume % or more and the shrinkage percentage of the green body in the longitudinal direction when sintered is made to be 6% or smaller. The green body contains at least CaO as a component.
