PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ammonia cooling unit to structurally solve a defect which an ammonia refrigerant has, and improve safety. SOLUTION: The ammonia cooling unit comprises an air-cooled integral type brine cooling unit 29 installed outdoor sand using an ammonia refrigerant; and a cooler 30 installed indoor to transmit a cold heat from the brine cooling unit 29 through brine to a load. The air-cooled integral type brine cooling unit 29 consists mainly of a motor integral type compressor 11, an air-cooled condenser 13, a liquid delivery part 15, an automatic expansion valve 18, and a brine cooler 19.
