PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable achievement of expected lift by maintaining rolling characteristic of a double row rolling bearing by coupling a hub wheel to a constant velocity joint without having backlash under the condition that a proper preload is imparted to the double row rolling bearing, in a hub unit for vehicle. SOLUTION: A bearing device for vehicle comprising: a double row rolling bearing 2 mounted outwardly engaged on the outer periphery of a hollow shaft part 12 of the hub wheel 1; and a constant velocity joint 3 which couples the hub wheel to a driving shaft 7 tiltably, wherein a bowl type trunk part 35 in an outer ring 31 of the constant velocity joint is made non-contact against a calking part 12a in a vehicle inner side shaft end of the hollow shaft part of hub wheel, the hub wheel and the constant velocity joint are coupled without backlash, and the addition of proper preload to the double row rolling bearing is made possible.
