PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator driving method and a driving device capable of smoothly operating an elevator without a sense of incompatibility even if a user boards the elevator after resting of the elevator. SOLUTION: After the elevator finishes ordinary travel (S100 to S102), when prescribed time passes (S104) without call registration (S103), a car is moved to a resting position dislocated from a door zone (S106), and transfers to a resting state (S107). Afterwards, when the user calls out the car (S108), the car moves up to a user boarding-alighting door zone from the resting position (S109). As a result, a sheave is surely predriven. At this time, a shock is caused at predriving starting time by a shortage of a lubricant at resting time, and the user does not board the elevator in this state. When the user boards the elevator in the door zone, lubricating oil is supplied between a shaft and a bearing, and when driving the car after boarding of the user, static friction between the shaft and the bearing is reduced, and a starting shock is restrained. |
