PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accessory installation structure of an internal combustion engine capable of reducing the full length of the engine, increasing rigidity of a cover seal face to improve sealability, and improving installation rigidity of an accessory. SOLUTION: In this accessory installation structure of the internal combustion engine, an installation seat 3a for the accessory 26 is integrally formed in an end face of a cylinder block 3 perpendicular to a crankshaft in the engine in a position along the cover seal face 3d outside the cover seal face 3d in an abutting face on a cover 10 which is covered on the end face 3, and the accessory 26 is installed to the installation seat 3a.
