PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold-down hardware for a bearing wall of a steel house enhancing the horizontal resistance in the steel house and to provide a highly rigid portal frame structure using it. SOLUTION: This hold-down hardware 46 has an approximately U-shaped cross section and a bottom plate 47 and a pair of side plates 48 disposed in its both ends, is provided with a plurality of through holes 51 in the bottom plate 47, and has a constitution that the distance between the outside faces of a pair of the side plates 48 is equal to the inner width of a web of an installed channel steel or a lip channel steel. the hold-down hardware 46 is disposed in a bottom of the channel steel or the lip channel steel forming the structural wall, the bottom plate 47 is fixed to the base member by bolts 52 penetrating through the through holes 51, and the pair of side plates 48 are joined with a flange of the channel steel or the lip channel steel.
