PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To moderate impact force to a desired degree to sufficiently moderate the impact force, when the impact force is applied to a hood in an automobile. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a fixed bracket 16 where a hood hinge 12 is fixed to a stationary side body member 3, a turning bracket 20 extended horizontally and of which one end part 18 is pivoted to the bracket 16 by the first pivotal shaft 19 to make the other end part 17 side freely turnable (A) vertically, a fuse means 24 for supporting the other end part 17 side of the bracket 20 in a prescribed position of the bracket 16 in a vertical direction, and for releasing the supporting of the turning bracket 20 to the fixed bracket 16 by being ruptured when external force of a prescribed value or more is applied to the turning bracket 20 from its upper side, and the second pivotal shaft 25 for pivoting the one end part of the hood 11. The first and second pivotal shafts 19, 20 are displaced each other in a horizontal direction.
