PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide agitating rods for a strong and durable mixing and agitating device capable of effecting most efficiently and uniformly mixing work in accordance with an agitating soil quality. SOLUTION: The front end of an agitating rod 9 extrudes 9a toward the rotary direction to excavate the ground and further, the front end face of the agitating rod 9 slants 9b against the rotary direction to reduce the excavating resistance. Moreover, a protruding piece is protruded 9c to the side face of the rotary direction of the front end part of the agitating rod 9 to excavate ground or the agitating rod 9 is formed in an arrowhead-shape 9d in the section turned to the rotary direction.
