PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated storage and retrieval warehouse for a tire capable of shortening warehousing/shipping time for the tire at a low cost, with simple and excellent storing efficiency, in a stacker crane type automated warehouse for the tire. SOLUTION: A slide plate engaged to each shelf within a rack, keeping the tire and sliding in the horizontal direction is drawn out, pushed back and slid by a pushing and pulling device elevating/lowering along a crane guide of a crane traveling in a traveling path. The tire on the slide plate is clamped by a handling device elevating/lowering along the crane guide and the tire is carried in/out to a warehousing/shipping position at the outside of the rack.
