PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding jack to prevent scuffing relative to a sliding surface and smoothen its movement. SOLUTION: The outline of a cylinder is made in a shape having a rectilinear side 7 on at least one part of an outer periphery on the sliding jack A furnished with the piston 2 to vertically move by hydraulic pressure on an upper part of the cylinder 1 and a synthetic resin made sliding member 5 projected from a lower end of the cylinder by working of the same hydraulic pressure arranged on its bottom part.
