<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and structure for joining opposed two members which has excellent workability and can surely carry out sealing. SOLUTION: A first pipe H1 and a second pipe H2 comprise a flange part F, a connecting end part 1 projecting from the flange part F toward the opposed pipe, and a lip part 2 disposed at a distant position from the connecting end part 1 and made of annular and band-like sheet material, respectively. When the connecting end parts 1 of the first member H1 abuts against the connecting end parts 1 of second member H2, a gap 5 is formed between the flange parts F, and the lip parts 2 are joined with each other in the gap 5 with their sheet faces disposed in the direction to cross the face of the flange F. The respective lip parts 2 are joined by irradiating a laser beam from the direction perpendicular to the sheet surface.</p> |
