PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control method for an air conditioner excellent in operating properties. SOLUTION: A home page for supporting preparation of electronic mail for remote control is opened in a server apparatus 40 and is opened the public on a network 500. A user accesses the home page through a terminal apparatus 410, and inputs desired operation contents on the home page. The operation contents are sent to the server apparatus 400. The server apparatus 400 prepares an electronic mail for remote control on the basis of the transmitted operation contents, and sends it to a user address (provider 520). A user informs the transmission of the electronic mail to an information transaction apparatus 300 with a telephone through a public network 550. The information transaction apparatus 300 for controlling the air conditioner 110 accesses the provider 5290 to obtain the electronic mail. It further decodes the contents to control the air conditioner 110 on the basis of a decoded result.
