PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems with a conventional simple shopping bag made of a plastic that when the bag is carried while hanging in a hand with articles put in, a handle portion becomes linear and thin and cuts into the hand without a load dispersed, resulting in such a trouble that fingers hurt after the bag is carried for a long time, that persons with a weak grip such as an aged person, a woman and a child often feel inconvenience in carrying, and that when a person enters a restaurant or a coffee shop with the bag and puts the bag on a chair or the like, the articles collapse in shape or the bag occupies an excessive chair, causing a nuisance to other customers. SOLUTION: The shopping bag hanger comprises a curved holding portion with an end formed in a hook and a hanging portion extending from the other end of the holding portion. An interval from the holding portion to a tip of the hook is formed to be longer than an interval from the holding portion to the hanging portion. The hanger can lock the simple shopping bag for carrying it in a hand, and in addition, when in a restaurant or a coffee shop, the hanger which hangs the shopping bag can be locked at an edge of a table.
