FLAME RETARDED THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retarded thermoplastic resin composition and method of producing the same excellent in flame retardancy without compounding a compound including halogen atoms. SOLUTION: This flame retarded thermoplastic resin composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin, (B) 10-300 pts.wt. of a metal hydroxide powder, (C) 0.01-50 pts.wt. of a branched organopolysiloxane including an alkoxy group expressed by the average unit formula: R1a-(R2O)bSiO(4-a-b)/2, (D) 0.01-50 pts.wt. of a branched organopolysiloxane including a silanol group expressed by the average unit formula: R3a(HO)bSiO(4-a-b)/2 and (E) 0.01-10 pts.wt. of a catalyst for promotion of a condensation reaction, and the method of producing the flame retarded thermoplastic resin composition is characterized by heating and mixing the components (A) and (B) and then mixing the components (C), (D) and (E).
