PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain glass with a colored film having a deep color, yet having non-absorbeney and permeability to the light whose wave-length is longer than that of near infrared rays. SOLUTION: An infrared ray-permeable colored film is prepared by uniformly dispersing an infrared ray-permeable pigment in a silica matrix in which colloidal silica is dispersed, the weight ratio of the silica to the colloidal silica is 60:40 to 40:60, and the weight ratio of the infrared ray-permeable pigment to the silica matrix is 3:97 to 10:90. This film is coated on the surface of a glass substrate.
