PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize an extraction residue of a crude medicine which has been treated as a waste and, in details, to obtain both an extract of the crude medicine residue having an excellent beautiful skin effect and a composition for external use. SOLUTION: This composition for external use is characterized by comprising an extract extracted from the warm water extraction residue of the crude medicine by using an organic solvent.
