PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene naphthalate fiber for rubber reinforcement having both of adhesion and fatigue resistance in high levels while having high modulus and excellent dimensional stability. SOLUTION: This fiber for the rubber reinforcement is obtained by attaching 0.2-0.6 wt.% lubricant, 0.05-0.15 wt.% emulsifier and 0.05-0.3 wt.% epoxy compound to a fiber composed of a polyester comprising at least 90 mol% ethylene 2,6-naphthalate unit based on the whole repeating units, and having 2-5 dtex single fiber size. Preferably, the intrinsic viscosity of the fiber is >=0.7, and the strength is >=8 cN/dtex. |
