PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for opening/closing body that improves the operational reliability of an opening/closing body. SOLUTION: The controller for opening/closing body which executes prescribed controlling operation by controlling the movement of the opening/closing body in at least one of the opening direction and closing direction of the opening/closing body is provided with an allowable fluctuation range learning means which learns at least one of the upper limit and lower limit of the allowable fluctuation range of a normal load which changes in accordance with the characteristics of the opening/closing body and a control means which detects abnormality by detecting whether or not an actual load fluctuates beyond the allowable fluctuating range and, when the means detects abnormality, automatically causes the controller to execute the controlling operation.
