MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY RESISTANT TO GINSENOSIDE RG1

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for simply analyzing ginsenoside Rg1 (GRg1) which is a main glycoside contained in ginseng. SOLUTION: This monoclonal antibody which belongs to the subclass of IgG2b, holds aκlight chain, and specifically reacts with GRg1. The method for producing the monoclonal antibody against the ginsenoside Rg1, characterized by fusing a myeloma cell with the antibody-producing cell of an animal (preferably a mouse) immunized with a GRg1-serum albumin complex obtained by reacting bovine or human serum albumin with GRg1 treated with sodium periodate, selectively culturing the obtained hybridoma, and then screening and cloning the hybridoma producing the monoclonal antibody against the GRg1. The GRg1 can simply and highly sensitively be determined by applying the monoclonal antibody to an immunity measuring method such as ELISA method or the like.
