PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intensive repairing method for a footing in repair of a wooden building constructed on a conventional continuous footing. SOLUTION: The whole of a groundsill of a repaired building constructed on the continuous footing 10 is cut off excepting just below various existing columns 12 such as a column of balloon framing and a stud. Then, from the base part of the continuous footing to the height above the base part of the existing column, a reinforcing footing 15, which is provided with a substantially inverted L-shaped cross section, abutted on one face of the continuous footing, and made of reinforced concrete, is formed in the cut groundsill part. Alternatively, the inverted L-shaped reinforcing footing and a slab ranging over the overall underfloor area of the building are formed of reinforced concrete integrally with each other. In this way, the conventional footing can be greatly reinforced. The existing column is fixed to the newly arranged footing by means of a T-shaped metal fitting so as to be fixed to the reinforced footing.
