PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carburetor having both an air cleaner connected to an inlet of an intake path of a carburetor body and a fuel passage connected to a halfway portion of the intake path. SOLUTION: In this carburetor, the carburetor body 2 is formed with the intake path 4 for mainly passing air and the fuel passage 16 for mainly passing fuel, in parallel. The fuel passage 16 is provided with a rotary throttle valve 25 turning interlockingly with a choke valve 9, and a rotary throttle valve 35 turning interlockingly with a throttle valve 36. A valve shaft 12 of the choke valve 9 is formed with an air passage 8 communicating the intake path 4 with the fuel passage 16 through an axially extending cutout 12a.
