PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mounting strength of a transmitting member for transmitting the vibration of a building to a hydraulic damper. SOLUTION: This vibration control device 12 is provided with the hydraulic damper 13 for damping the A and B-directional vibrations of the building. The hydraulic damper 13 is mounted so as to be horizontally erected between a bracket 38 fixed to the lower end of an upper transmitting member 24 and a bracket 40 fixed to the upper end of a lower transmitting member 22, and it can damp the horizontal (A and B-directional) vibration according to the relative displacement of the lower transmitting member 22 and the upper transmitting member 24. The lower transmitting member 22 and the upper transmitting member 24 comprises inclined parts 22a and 24a on one-end side parts. The inclined parts 22a and 24a are provided, whereby two transmitting members can be obtained from one structural plywood. The lower transmitting member 22 and the upper transmitting member 24 are firmly fixed by fastening anchor bolts 26 inserted to fixing bolt insert holes 22d and 24d and nuts 28, 32 and 34.
