PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sand bag for flood-fighting capable of rationalizing storage of the sand bags used for damming back overflowing water from a river bank or a side ditch of a road due to heavy rain or long rain and saving mandays required for installation of the sandbags. SOLUTION: Mooring strings 2 for preventing a sand bag from being carried away are tied at the four corners of an outer bag 1 woven to form a rectangular hemp bag having a specified size by a natural plant fiber strings such as hemp, and an inner bag 3 made of cotton cloth to constitute a sand bag A. An appropriate quantity of powdery acrylic polymer having partly sodium salt is contained in the inner bag of the sand bag and then, the opening of the sandbag is sealed up.
