PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily forming a metal coating film superior in film thickness accuracy and surface smoothness and with high peel strength on a surface of a resin compact. SOLUTION: This method is characterized by accommodating the resin compact and a producing substance of metal fine powder in a treatment vessel, producing the metal fine powder from the above producing substance of metal fine powder by fluid contacting the above producing substance for metal fine powder to the surface of the resin compact in the treatment vessel, forming a metal layer consisting of the metal fine powder on the surface of the resin compact, and then forming the metal coating film on the above metal layer. (However, an R-Fe-B based bond magnet is excluded from the above resin compact).
