METHOD OF FORMING ORGANIC SINGLE CRYSTAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a large size organic single crystal having excellent crystallinity. SOLUTION: A nucleus of an organic substance constituting a low supersaturated solution is formed in the low supersaturated solution by bringing the low supersaturated solution whose temperature is adjusted to be in the temperature range lower by 0.01 to 2 deg.C than the saturation point into contact with a low temperature body or irradiating the low supersaturated solution with prescribed laser light. Further, a single crystal comprising the organic compound is formed by naturally growing the nucleus as a center on the main face of a prescribed substrate arranged in the low supersaturated solution.
