PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a free roller carrier device capable of stably carrying a work regardless of weight and reducing consumption of an operating part. SOLUTION: This free roller carrier device 1 is furnished with a chain 3 for carriage furnished with a free roller 2, a rotary shaft 5b having a sprocket 16 to wrap the chain 3 for carriage around it, a side panel 7 to axially support the rotary shaft 5b, a driving motor 9 to rotate the rotary shaft 5b and a support means 12 to support the free roller 2 to place a work on it from the lower side, and the support means 12 constitutes its characteristic feature of having a holding member 38 to support the free roller and a disc spring 37 free to vertically move the holding member 38 relative to the side panel 7.
