PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster which can ride across a high level difference smoothly. SOLUTION: The caster 1 has an upper member 4 to be attached to a leg 3 of furniture 2, and a lower member 5 to be fitted into the upper member 4, free with horizontal swivel, with a wheel 6 mounted off the pivotal axis O on the lower member 5. A guideway section 17 inclined downward to decrease in height gradually from the rim of the lower member 5 towards the direction of the wheel 6 is formed in the part of the lower member 5 opposite from the wheel 6 across the pivotal axis O.
