PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a woven fabric for an artificial leather, capable of providing a high interlacement strength of single yarn and extrafine yarn of woven fabric, excellent surface flatness, high fiber napping density in the case of napping, excellent lighting effect and excellent natural leather-like appearance, high stretchability and soft feeling and an artificial leather. SOLUTION: (1) This woven fabric for an artificial leather is a woven fabric using a false twisted yarn of a polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber multifilament at least in wefts in which the false twisted yarn is a finished yarn twisted at 0-800 T/m twist count in the direction opposite to the twisting direction of false twisting. (2) This artificial leather is obtained by impregnating a polymer elastic body to texture gaps of a base fabric for an artificial leather obtained by interlacing an extrafine yarn having <=1.1 dtex average fineness of single yarn and the woven fabric for an artificial leather. Elongation at 4.9 N stress per cm width of the artificial leather in the weft direction is 15-45%. |
