PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging container which stores foodstuffs such as eggs and includes a container body, which is prepared by thermoforming synthetic resin sheets and in which a cover body is attached openably and integrally to a side of the container body through a linear hinge wherein the cover body can be easily and precisely held in a closed state with respect to the container body. SOLUTION: In the packaging body, fitting recesses 13 are disposed alternately with fitting projections 14 near the edge in opposition to a hinge 3 of the container body 1 in a direction nearly parallel to the hinge 3, while fitting projections 23 and fitting recesses 24, which are adapted to be fitted in the recesses 13 and projections 14 respectively so as to be firmly held, are disposed alternately with one another on an edge in opposition to the hinge 3 of the cover body 2. Protruding fillets 15, 25, which are adapted to be engaged with each other, may be provided near the edges at least on the side of the hinge 3 of the container body 1 and cover body 2. |
